Movin Hansaja Subasingha - Young Lad from Sri Lanka
Born on July 6, 2000, Movin Hansaja Subasingha comes from Colombo the capital city of Sri Lanka. Movin is an All-rounder, who is a Right-arm off spinner and a Right-handed batter.
He has been steadily emerging through domestic cricket, where he made his List A debut in December 2019, which was soon followed by his Twenty20 debut in January 2020 for Nugegoda Sports and Welfare Club. Since then, he has continued to grow through his consistency and match winning capabilities which marked him as one of the most exciting young prospects in recent years.
His
batting is often marked by aggression and confidence; recently, in May 2025
while playing for Burgher Recreation Club, Movin produced a standout
performance with 72 off just 27 balls. This performance showcased his natural
hitting ability and fearless intent under pressure.
Complementing his batting, Subasingha’s off-spin adds strategic depth to his teams, allowing captains to rely on him both as a run-scorer and a wicket-taker.
