After a four-wickets victory over the defending champions Janakpur Bolts, Lumbini Lions Qualified for the Playoffs with 8 points on the board.
Last season, the Lions finished at the bottom of the table, but this time the tables turned and Lions made their place in the top four with, Sudurpaschim Royals, Biratnagar Kings and Kathmandu Gorkhas.
The Nepal Premier League season 2025 started with a six-wickets victory over the Chitwan Rhinos but the team faced a setback after three consecutive losses against Karnali Yaks, Kathmandu Gorkhas and Sudurpaschim Royals. However, they bounced back and won all the other remaining matches against the Pokhara Avengers, Biratnagar Kings and Janakpur Bolts.
As the Lions roared back louder it showed immense level of confidence in the players and hunger to win all the matches.
Looking at the stats, the highest run scorer for the Lions in the group stage is captain Rohits Paudel with 208 runs with the strike rate of 99.04, he even helped the bowling attack with 4 wickets and the highest wicket-taker is Sher Malla with 10 wickets and the economy of 6.79, he even contributed in the batting with 39 runs.

Playoffs’ matches are starting from Tuesday (9th December) and Lumbini Lions
will be playing against the Kathmandu Gorkhas on Wednesday (10th December) in
the Eliminators.
